Custom Orders & Measurements

NorthStitch Co. makes garments to your individual specifications. This page explains how custom orders and measurements work.

Made-to-measure suits
NorthStitch suits are made-to-measure: each suit is individually produced using your confirmed measurements and the options you select, such as fabric, colour, and styling options.

Custom-tailored shirts
Our custom-tailored shirts are also produced using customer measurements, through a proper custom measurement process — not standard collar sizing alone. The final measurement fields will match what the tailor requires.

Confirming your measurements
Measurements must be confirmed before production begins. Please review your submitted measurements carefully. NorthStitch may review your measurements and contact you if something appears inconsistent, and you will have a reasonable opportunity to correct your information before production begins.

After production begins
Once production has begun, changes to your measurements or options may not always be possible. If you need to request a change, contact us at contact@northstitchco.com as soon as possible.

Made-to-measure vs. ready-to-wear
A made-to-measure garment is made to your individual specifications and differs from standard ready-to-wear clothing. Manufacturing errors and ordinary fit adjustments are not the same thing: a manufacturing error is a fault in how the garment was made, while a fit adjustment is a minor local alteration to refine the fit of a correctly made garment.

Fit Support
If your NorthStitch suit requires eligible local alterations, NorthStitch will reimburse alteration costs up to C$80, subject to the Fit Support policy. See our Fit / Refund Policy for details.

Reviewing your order before payment
When ordering becomes available, you will be able to review and correct important order information before submitting your order — including the product, colour, options, measurements or measurement profile, shipping address, pricing, shipping charges, taxes, and the final total.

Order confirmation
When ordering becomes active, you will receive Shopify's standard order confirmation with your transaction details.

Statutory rights
Nothing in this policy limits any rights you may have under applicable consumer-protection law, including rights that cannot legally be excluded.
